Ingredients
  

Ground Beef
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (9 ounces) Doritos, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Wash and dice the onion and mince the garlic. Crush the Doritos in a zip-top bag or use a food processor.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 5 to 7.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes with green chilies, sour cream, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5.
  4. Combine the beef mixture with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and half of the crushed Doritos. Pour this mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and the rest of the crushed Doritos.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-30, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
