Chicken
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed if possible)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and coat them with a mixture of cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat, add the orange sauce to the skillet, and return the cooked chicken. Toss to coat and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
