Ingredients
  

Strawberry Pie Filling
  • 2 cans strawberry pie filling 15-ounce cans
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened 8-ounce package
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25-ounce box
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced optional for garnish
  • to taste whipped cream optional for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling and gently spread it.
  5. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer and drizzle melted butter over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the cake is set.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
