Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Filling
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, melted butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined and resembles wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9x9-inch baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the light corn syrup, packed brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture over the crust in the baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the filling is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing into bars.
