  • 2 cups almond flour Gluten-free flour rich in protein and healthy fats.
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour Adds fiber and sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Helps the donuts rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Works with baking soda for texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweeteners.
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted Adds moisture.
  • 4 large eggs For binding and protein.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) For added flavor.

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan with coconut oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients: almond flour, coconut flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and optional cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together honey (or maple syrup), melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a smooth batter.
  4. Fill the donut pan about 3/4 full with batter and tap to remove air bubbles.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before glazing.
