  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Method
 

  1. Prepare the pie crust by placing it in a 9-inch pie dish or making your own from scratch.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine light corn syrup, packed brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Stir in pecan halves into the filling mixture and pour it into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the pie for 60 to 70 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  5. Let the pie cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours before slicing.
