Ingredients

Crust Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  3. Pour the pecan filling over the hot crust and spread evenly. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the filling is set and golden brown.
  4. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. For best results, chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
