Pound the chicken to an even thickness and season with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Sauté minced garlic in the skillet for 30 seconds, then add cherry tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in heavy cream and stir in Italian seasoning, then add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth.
Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
