- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in chopped walnuts or pecans if using.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
