Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Prepare the corn and green beans by shucking the corn and cutting the green beans into 1-inch pieces. Boil the green beans in salted water for 3-4 minutes, then transfer to ice water to stop cooking.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in thyme and parsley.
  3. Cook corn in the same pot for 3-5 minutes if fresh, or heat through if frozen. Drain and set aside with green beans.
  4. Combine corn and green beans in the skillet with herb butter, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
