Ingredients
  

Green Beans
  • 2 cans cut green beans, drained 14.5 ounces each
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup French fried onions, divided
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Prepare the green beans by draining canned beans or blanching fresh beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then place in ice water.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the prepared green beans to the creamy sauce and fold in half of the French fried onions.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 1.5-quart baking dish and top with remaining French fried onions.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25 minutes, stir, then bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
