In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Lightly flour your work surface, turn out the dough, and knead gently for 1 minute. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into strips about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long. Place on a baking sheet.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake breadsticks for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Once breadsticks are out of the oven, allow to cool slightly and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
