  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers any color
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 4 cups cubed bread preferably day-old

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Gather and prepare all ingredients by dicing the ham, bell peppers, and onion, and cubing the bread.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  4. Fold in the diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, bell peppers, onion, and cubed bread into the egg mixture, then pour into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until set and golden brown.
